The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
The Egyptian Museum is located in the heart of the Egyptian capital Cairo (Downtown) and overlooks Tahrir Square, which is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world. The museum was inaugurated in its current location during the reign of Khedive Abbas Hilmi II during the year 1902 AD, after the museum’s antiquities were moved more than once to several sites until they ended up in the current building.

The museum consists of two main floors, the first floor contains heavy relics from coffins, paintings and statues displayed according to the historical sequence, while the upper floor contains various archaeological collections, the most important of which are King Tutankhamun’s collection, the treasures of Tanis, in addition to two halls for royal mummies. Among the most important artifacts on display in the museum are the King Narmer prayer hall, the statue of King Khufu, the mask of King Tutankhamun, in addition to a large number of royal treasures.

Khan Al-Khalili
This region is considered a distinct example of Islamic architecture. It collected many unique architectural examples from the Umayyad, Tulunid, Fatimid, Ayyubid, Mamluk and Ottoman eras, and given the abundance and richness of this architecture that adorns the sky of Cairo, scholars, historians and the public have known it as "the city of a thousand minarets."

Historic Cairo includes several sites that represent a unique form of human settlement that mixes the religious and urban residential uses of the place, namely: Al-Fustat, ancient Egypt, and the central region that includes Al-Qata`a, the Tulunid royal city, the Citadel area, Al-Darb Al-Ahmar, the Fatimid nucleus, the port of Bulaq, and the Mosque Armies.
